Everyone chasing Blazusiak in Vigo | 7.1.2010
The Vigo Race Track is to host the third World Cup FIM Enduro Indoor this next 9th January 2010. Everything is prepared in this great venue, which is holding a FIM Enduro Indoor event for the first time.
The track designed in the Vigo stadium will be the scene of the battle in which the best riders of the World will take part. It is the third and penultimate event of the World Cup, and the fight between the leaders will be electrifying. The Polish ex-trial rider Taddy Blazusiak (KTM Enduro Factory), winner in Sheffield and Genoa, is first in the general classification, with 32 points advantage over Iván Cervantes (KTM Enduro Factory), who is in second place and is current champion of this spectacular speciality. The difference is clear, but Cervantes, together with other outstanding riders like Joakim Ljunggren(Husaberg Factory Team), in third place, Graham Jarvis (Sherco), in fourth place, and Mike Browm (KTM Enduro Factory), fifth, will be trying to match his success and win points before the last World Cup event which will be held in Barcelona on the 31st January in Barcelona.
The quality of the riders who are participating in this event is indisputable and more than their position in the classification, they are looking to get the most points possible in Vigo to better their general position. Mika Ahola (HM-Honda Jolly Racing), E1 World Champion, or Douggie Lampkin (Beta Motor), many-time Trial World Champion, Oriol Mena (Husaberg Factory Team), Junior World Champion, among others, complete a fantastic line-up for Vigo, hosting for this, its first time, a World Cup event.
Regretfully, as last- minute news we have to announce the absence the French rider Antoine Meo (Husqvarna CH Racing), and the British rider David Knight (KTM Enduro Factory), both injured. On the other hand, the Polish rider Bartosz Oblucki (Husqvarna CH Racing), will be able to participate having recovered form his injuries.
The traditional racing format of the FIM Indoor Enduro will be offering three exciting finals allowing the Vigo public to enjoy the best of Enduro in indoor conditions.
